I've always had a love for decorating cakes and cupcakes. I've made some pretty cute things over the years. They all turned out pretty good but I knew my skills still needed work. I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class and I finally had to opportunity to get into the first course at my local Michael's store.
Michael's offers the Wilton method decorating classes. There are 4 different courses that cover everything from the decorating basics to advanced gum paste flowers. Each course is made up of 4 2-hour sessions. Here is my 1st completed cake from Course 1. Not to shabby! I'm looking forward to Course 2. We'll be learning about cake design and will continue to make more flowers where Course 1 left off. I'm so glad I was finally able to start in the Wilton courses. I absolutely love it!!
